Image material was derived from another project called “Faces”. All photos of one person are superimposed on each other, calling in mind the composite portraiture of Francis Galton. Containing overlapped photos of only one person, the final image departs from the Galton’s goal of looking for a particular psychological traits in physical appearance of a person. Instead, it represents the traits of that very person. The image ceases to be a photograph, resembling more a drawing and shifts towards Derrida’s trait, the line itself.
